Care Guide
Natural Fibers Scarves and Fabrics (Cotton, Linen, Silk)
- Due to some residual ink from the print process, wash alone with a full load setting in cold water for the first washing. Add a mild detergent, ½ a cup of vinegar and 1 tsp of salt per meter. Transfer immediately to the dryer; do not leave it wet in the machine, or dark ink will transfer to light areas.
- Machine-dry cotton on medium to high heat. Machine dry silk on low heat or hang it to dry.
- Prints can be ironed and dry-cleaned. Use iron fabric presets.
- Iron on silk setting (delicate) with low steam.
- Do not bleach.
- Expect some shrinking: 1% in width and length
- For future washes, machine wash cold water with a phosphate-free detergent. Add mild fabric softener to enhance softness and drape.
Polyester Scarves and Fabrics (Poly-chiffon, poly-twill, poly-canvas)
- Machine wash warm water in a regular cycle using a phosphate-free detergent.
- Machine dry on medium to high heat or hang to dry.
- Iron on synthetic setting.
- Expect minor shrinking: less than 1% in width and length
