All of our items come with a care label. You can also check on our website under Care Instructions, located on the footer menu (Care Guide). We strongly recommend following these instructions.

  • Will my favourite piece be restocked?
We create everything on demand, so we don’t carry inventory, which is great because that means nothing is ever out of stock. However, we need to make room for new styles and designs so every collection will last only for a few months. If you have your eye on something, don’t wait too long as there will be a rotation of designs and it will likely disappear.

  • I no longer want to receive JULIANA SILVA STUDIO newsletters. How do I unsubscribe?
Easy! There is a link to unsubscribe at the top of every newsletter.

  • How long does it take to get my purchase?
As we create everything on demand, it will take between 5 - 7 business days to be made. Once your item is ready, the shipping will take between 1 - 7 business days depending on the courier and your location.

  • What kind of fabrics do we use?
We use both natural and synthetic fabrics that are very durable with gorgeous textures and vibrant colours. You can see more details about our fabrics in the Care Instructions section.

  • How are natural fabrics printed?
Reactive printing is a multistep process formulated for printing on natural fabrics. It involves 4 main steps: pretreating fabrics, printing, steaming, and washing.
The pretreatment process involves coating fabrics in a finely tuned chemical mixture that stiffens the fabric and helps bond the ink to the fabric. Once coated, the fabrics are digitally printed with reactive inks using colour profiles suited to each fabric. After printing, steaming is where the magic happens! The fabric slowly moves through a steam chamber heated to 102 degrees Celsius which opens the fibres’ cells. Once opened, the ink can transfer into the fibres. After steaming the print will be at maximum vibrancy and colour depth. The last step is washing to remove all excess inks and residual pretreatment. The fabric passes through 3 different temperature baths and we add special detergents and finishers to wash and significantly soften the fabrics.

It’s a long process but it’s worth it! All fabrics printed with a reactive process are fully washable with no fading, and perfectly soft and ready to use.

  • How are synthetic fabrics printed?
Our products with synthetic fabrics are printed with a process called sublimation. The products are printed with wide format digital printers onto a special paper, and then the print is transferred to fabric using extreme heat and tension. The ink immediately transforms from a solid into a gas and becomes trapped in the fabric fibres. The results of the sublimation process are vibrant and permanent prints that will last for years to come.
