This is a fine art print of an original pencil drawing depicting a cotton boll in its natural state. The drawing is part of The Ropa Blanca (White Clothing) art project by Juliana Silva. It tells stories about a cotton textile created by a group of rural women in Colombia. These women have revived traditional techniques for growing, spinning, and weaving used by the Guane People, an indigenous group that no longer exists. The project aims to explore the various moments and stories associated with a hand-crafted canvas.
The artwork is printed on 235 gsm matte finish paper using high-quality inks. It is acid-free certified to avoid paper degradation.
